Booking & Pricing

How much does it cost to hire the venue?

Pricing varies depending on the day, time, and type of event. Weekend evenings are most popular. Contact us for a personalised quote – we're competitive and transparent with our pricing. The hire includes exclusive use of the venue, tables, chairs, and AV equipment.

What is the deposit and payment terms?

We require a £250 deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due 4 weeks before your event. We accept bank transfer and card payments.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 2-3 months in advance for weekend events, especially during peak seasons (summer and December). However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings – just ask!

Can I view the venue before booking?

Absolutely! We encourage viewings and can arrange a time that suits you. Contact John to schedule a visit – we're happy to show you around and discuss your event requirements.

Venue & Capacity

How many guests can you accommodate?

We can accommodate up to 175 guests standing or 120 guests seated for a sit-down meal. For events with dancing and a buffet, we typically suggest 140-150 guests for comfort.

What are the venue hire hours?

Standard evening hire is 7pm to midnight. We can arrange earlier access for setup (from 2pm onwards) and extended hours until 1am for an additional fee. Daytime events are also available.

Is there outdoor space available?

Yes! We have a lovely outdoor area overlooking the rugby pitch, perfect for drinks receptions, photos, or children's activities. The beer garden area is popular in warmer months.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we're fully accessible with step-free access to the main hall, accessible toilets, and a stairlift to upper levels. Please let us know about any specific accessibility requirements.

Catering & Bar

Can we bring our own caterer?

Yes! You're welcome to use any caterer of your choice. We have kitchen facilities available for hire if your caterer needs them for food preparation and service.

Do you provide catering?

We don't provide in-house catering, but we can recommend several trusted caterers who know our venue well and offer a range of cuisines and budgets.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

We have a fully licensed bar on-site with professional bar staff and competitive prices. Outside alcohol is not permitted, but our bar offers a great selection at reasonable rates.

Are there any restrictions on food?

We welcome all cuisines and dietary requirements. If you're having an event with specific requirements (e.g., halal, kosher, vegan), your caterer can accommodate this using our kitchen facilities.

Entertainment & Equipment

Can we have a DJ or live band?

Yes! DJs and live music are welcome. We have a professional sound system included in the hire, or bands can bring their own equipment. Music must finish by midnight (or 1am with extended hours).

What AV equipment is included?

We provide large screens/projectors, professional sound system with microphones, and WiFi – all included in the venue hire at no extra charge.

Can we have a bouncy castle?

Yes! We have space for bouncy castles and inflatables in our outdoor area (weather permitting) or smaller soft play inside. Many families use these for kids' parties.

Can we decorate the venue?

Absolutely! You're free to decorate to match your theme. We just ask that you avoid anything that could damage the walls (no nails or strong adhesives) and remove decorations after your event.

Logistics

Is there parking available?

Yes, we have ample free on-site parking for all your guests. No permits or restrictions to worry about.

How do I get to the venue?

We're located at Roding Lane North, Woodford Green, IG8 8JY. We're just minutes from the M11 and well-served by public transport. The nearest stations are Woodford (Central line) and South Woodford (Central line).

What time can we access for setup?

Standard access is from 7pm, but we can arrange earlier setup times from 2pm onwards for an additional fee. This is popular for weddings and events with significant decoration.

Do we need to clean up afterwards?

We ask that you remove your decorations and personal items. Basic cleaning is included, but we may charge a cleaning fee if the venue is left in an unusually poor state.
